Kimbilio has achieved so much for street children in Lubumbashi, and yet there's so much more to do. It's motivating to take stock of what's been accomplished as emotional fuel to continue moving forward. In June 2024 alone, in addition to educating 300+ children at the Kimbilio School, we congratulate the Kimbilio team on:
490 street children served at the day center, including 27 children who are new to the day center and with whom the staff spent time getting to know their individual situations and needs;
3 street children who are no longer on the streets as they've been reintegrated with their biological families;
105 street children whose medical needs were addressed;
51 children who lived in Kimbilio's lovingly run long-term and transient homes;
6 former street children, reintegrated with their biological families, for whom Kimbilio paid fees for them to attend school;
9 street children for whom the Kimbilio team searched far and wide for their biological families.
